CADA (Citizens Against Domestic and Sexual Abuse) is Island County's dedicated support agency for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Founded in 1979 and accredited by various state bodies, CADA offers free and confidential assistance to residents within Island County, Washington. Their wide range of services includes crisis intervention, trauma-informed advocacy, legal support (assistance with protection orders, not legal representation), medical advocacy, emergency shelter, parenting classes, as well as community education and prevention programs. Driven by a mission to advocate compassionately for survivors, educate the public about abuse, develop prevention programs, and provide leadership on related community issues, CADA stands as a beacon of support and empowerment.
